The Ruggedian Kolhapur Run is not just a sports event but a city carnival, bringing together a huge section of people. Our prime motive is to promote sports culture of the city and make KOLHAPUR RUN one of the prime marathons of India and give athletes a lifetime experience.Lets break the chain of lazy and inactive lifestyle. It is all about being healthy, having fun and to get you & your family moving.

We will give our best when it comes to the entertainment arrangements, with live DJs, Lezim performers, Nashik Dhol, Zumba Dancers. However, we feel that the real stars of the show are the huge wave of spectators! Enthusiastic crowds of young and old, boys and girls, men and women will also be present along the route to cheer the participants. The route will be scenic with greenery all around, with wide and clean roads. There will be abundance of hydration stations and emergency services to make sure there aren’t any critical incidences. There will be a huge number of performers all around the route to keep the runners excited and raring till the finish line. For the runners at the finish line, they will be bestowed with Ruggedian Kolhapur Run – Ultra Marathon medals and their finisher certificates along with Kolhapur traditional FETA.All in all, it will be a monumentally huge event for the city of Kolhapur, plus there will be plenty of new things happening this year.

 

PRE-RACE WARM UP: All participants can avail warm up (Zumba) session in the holding area 30 minutes before the race.

POST-RACE:1. Collect your finisher medal

2. Recover, stretch, re hydrate

3. Prize distribution

4. Physio and Medical tent for any medical issues -collect provisional results & photo opportunity at the timing booth

5. Refreshment

6. Dance and talk about the race

RULES AND REGULATIONS

# Ruggedian KOLHAPUR RUN Ultra Marathon (henceforth referred to as “The Race”) will be governed by the Race Committee and the Race Director. We shall have complete discretion in formulating and applying all rules and penalties. These rules may be modified or altered at the sole discretion of the Race Committee and the Race Director at any time.

# The official language of the race are English and all competitors are responsible for reading and understanding these rules, race signs, directions and any oral instructions given before and during the race.

# The Race is open to both male and female

# The decision of the race committee shall be final with respect to any matter relating to the event.

# The race committee reserves the right to disqualify any individual who does not comply with the rules.

# The race committee will not entertain nor be in any way responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete or inaccurate entry details in the registration form.

# The race committee will not be responsible for any loss and/or damage, personal, or otherwise, to the belongings and items lost during the event. Authorized security personnel also reserve the right to open and examine any item or baggage for security purpose

# Race Time is calculated by Time chip technology.

# The Race Committee reserves the right to impose time penalties or to disqualify athlete, for conduct in violation of these rules and contrary to the best interest of the Race. The decisions of the Race Committee are final and cannot be appealed except for the protest.

# The entry fee will not be refunded or transferred under any circumstances.

# All decisions by the Race Director regarding the results and the prizes will be final and binding on all the race participants.

# It is MANDATORY for all the athletes to collect Race Kit before race. Please carry proof of registration such as a payment receipt / e-receipt or e-mail printout to collect Kit bag. If you are unable to collect your race kit personally, you can send a person with the Authorization letter, duly filled in and signed by you, to collect it on your behalf along with receipt .No Race kit will be given on Race day.

# It is MANDATORY to carry age proof for all the participants and need to present if demanded by the race committee.

# All rights, title and interest including but not limited to the Intellectual Property Rights, in the promotional material(s) / the race and in any and all entries received shall vest solely and exclusively with RACE COMMITTEE / ORGANIZERS at all times. RACE COMMITTEE / ORGANIZERS or any person or entity permitted by RACE COMMITTEE / ORGANIZERS in this regard shall be entitled to use the entries received or any information in connection with the entry in any media for future promotional, marketing, publicity and any other purpose, without any permission and/or payment to the Participant.

# Under no circumstance, shall RACE COMMITTEE / ORGANIZERS and/or their directors, employees, officers, affiliates or subsidiaries, be liable to the Participant and/or any third party for any lost profits or lost opportunity, indirect, special, consequential, incidental or punitive damages whatsoever, even if RACE COMMITTEE / ORGANIZERS has been advised of the possibility of such damages. The Participant specifically agrees not to file in person/through any family member and/or any third party any applications, criminal and/or civil proceedings in any courts or forum in India against RACE COMMITTEE / ORGANIZERS and/or their directors, employees, officers, affiliates or subsidiaries to claim any damages or relief in connection with the Race and shall hold harmless RACE COMMITTEE / ORGANIZERS, its affiliates, its group companies, their employees, officers, directors or any other person and/or sponsors from any claim/liability/losses (including legal fees) arising out of and in relation to any injury/damage/harm/loss/ death/ mental or emotional trauma suffered by the participant(s) in any manner whatsoever in connection with the Race.

# RACE COMMITTEE / ORGANIZERS shall not be liable to perform any of its obligations under the Race where it is unable to do so as a result of unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

# RACE COMMITTEE / ORGANIZERS excludes all liability whatever for any costs, expenses, damages, liability, injury or disappointment suffered by you arising out of or in any way connected with the Race.

# RACE COMMITTEE / ORGANIZERS are empowered to take a decision on any case not covered under these Rules and Regulations.

# Photographs & Videos taken during the briefing and on race day can be used for the purpose of promoting the event and email data and contact number of participants can be used for promotional purpose.

# Participants should be Physically Fit with No Personal History of any Disease Incapacity him to undergo the physically challenging RACE. Participants should have a life insurance.

# The Race Director has the right to disqualify any participant on grounds of indiscipline or indecent behavior or any such action that is detrimental to the conduct of the race.

# Consumption or possession of alcohol, tobacco, cigarettes or any banned substances will lead to instant disqualification.

# Once the final results are declared; no protests, arguments or any such action will be entertained.

# The Race Director can alter, amend or change the course of the race as well as the rules and regulations without any prior notice and would be binding with immediate effect.

# All decisions by the Race Director regarding the results will be final and binding on all the race participants.

 

DISCLAIMER

I am fully aware of and appreciate that training for and running for a marathon may result in accidents or serious injury. I am voluntarily participating in the KSC-RUGGEDIAN KOLHAPUR RUN-2023 with complete knowledge of associated risks and I agree to accept responsibility of all risks to injury or death. I also acknowledge that Kolhapur Run does not offer any formal marathon training program. By signing this wavier and release, I declare that I am medically able, properly trained, physically fit and capable in participating in a marathon and that my medical care provider has approved my participation. I agree to independently consult my physician in the event of any injuries or medical questions arising from or related to my participation in the KSC-RUGGEDIAN KOLHAPUR RUN-2023. I also agree my full and sole responsibility for my own medical expenses and that I am responsible for any and all medical expenses on my behalf. In consideration of being permitted to participate in the KSC-RUGGEDIAN KOLHAPUR RUN-2023, I agree to assume all the risks and to release and hold harmless Ksc-Ruggedian Kolhapur Run team. I understand and agree that this wavier and release is binding upon my heirs, assigns and legal representatives. I hereby grant my consent and permission to KSC-RUGGEDIAN KOLHAPUR RUN-2023, its partner organizations and employees to use any and all information submitted in my application, and/or my name, photograph, videotape, motion picture recording, voice or likeness for any purpose, including pre- race and post-race publicity. I have carefully read this wavier and release and fully understand its contents. If I am under 18 years at the time of registration, my parents or legal guardian have fully read, understood and consented to the terms of this wavier and release and by signature below authorize my participation. By signing this wavier, I have indicated that I have read, understood and agreed to the wavier and release above.
