Some runners prefer to go shoeless and practice barefoot running lifestyle. They believe that running with shoes on hinders their natural stride and tends to cause relatively more injuries and cause damage. People who run barefoot feel attuned to their body movement. Barefoot runners land on balls of their feet first on the ground. Running without shoes is believed to improve balance and coordination. It is safer to run barefoot on the pavement so as to avoid stepping on pebbles or sharp objects in trails.
