[Offer] The Border 100 - 2021

Event Details

Set in the Golden City of Jaisalmer, The Border 2021 is another excuse to celebrate the valor and supreme sacrifice of Indian soldiers in the Battle of Longewala. 120 jawans of the 23rd Battalion, Punjab Regiment, held this post for the entire night until they got reinforced the next day.

We devote this ultra-marathon to the martyrs and the brave soldiers who confronted the Pakistani soldiers that entire night.

Starting from within the heart of the Golden City of Rajasthan, this ultramarathon finishes at the same Longewala Battle post. Longewala is a border town in the western part of the Jaisalmer district. Just 10km from the Pakistan Border, the finish point at the post has the war memorial dedicated to the Indian victory where the captured enemy tanks and other souvenirs are put on exhibition for the public.

On the way, the runners are exposed to the sweet-bitter experiences that the great Thar has to offer. Through Kuldhara, Poonam Nagar, Ramgarh, and a handful of other remote desert villages, The Border is infamous as one of the flattest 100-mile races of India. However, this race route tests a runner's mettle in the last 40 kilometers where the rolling ups and downs through extensive infinity of sand dunes pose extreme challenges to a broken mind and body. The participants in this endurance race are exposed to the elements of nature, face to face while fighting their own mental demons - as is the case with any ultra, philosophically speaking.

The entire route is a mix of barren-beautiful landscapes painted by mesmerizing sunsets. In the three editions that we have hosted this race, we have witnessed some significant achievements across all the categories of the race.

Categories and cut-off time:

160 KM - 28 hrs

100 KM - 16 hrs

50 KM - 08 hrs

All three categories start 1200 Hrs on Dec 18th, 2021.

Feed Stations: Every 10 KM of the route will have aid stations supplied well with water, nuts, soft drinks, dates, Gatorade, glucose, bananas, boiled potatoes, tea-coffee, sandwiches, main meals (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner).

Inclusions: Race Bib, Race T-shirt, Medal, Certificate, Hydration support, Refreshment and food during the race, Medical support, Transport in the race.

Exclusions: Any personal expenses

Cancellation & Refund Policy

# Any cancellation before 60 days will be eligible for a 100% refund of registration fee.

# Any cancellation between 60-45 days will be eligible for a 50% refund of registration fee.

# Any cancellation between 44-30 days will be eligible for a 25% refund of registration fee.

# Any cancellation between 30-0 days will not be eligible for a refund under any circumstances.
