RunAddicts & This Event:
In case you don’t know yet (how could you not!), RunAddicts is the largest volunteer driven gathering of fitness enthusiasts around.
With 1500+ active members on the WhatsApp groups and 4300+ members on FaceBook, RunAddicts is the quintessential & non-commercial health and fitness focused group.
RunAddicts are organizing the 6th Annual Run Event with the tagline “Educate a Rural Child”. It includes 10k, 5k and 3km un-timed walk/run with hydration support, in one-of-a-kind Green Event setting.
In the company of 3500+ participants, you will pass through the beautiful neighborhood of Rajarajeshwari Nagar, to the beat of folk music and greet the cheering spectators after an exhilarating Zumba session. You’ll meet hundreds of ever-smiling RunAddicts volunteers ensuring your safety and comfort. Ambulances and medic’s will be ready to assist with medical support. Refresh yourself with water, or energy drinks and snacks at hydration stations every 2~3 km. And at the finish line, you will be greeted with a medal, a certificate and yummy breakfast. You’ll also get to meet the many sponsors who made this event successful.
To top it all, you’d have made a worthwhile contributions towards helping Rural Children with their education, health & fitness.

With such a huge number of people, there a few things that you should keep in mind. Traffic, Parking, Route, Schedule, & Guidelines.
Going Green
For the 6th time in a row, we are a green event. All the way down to zero waste!
Your event goes green. In a big way. With the support of local green conscious groups – iCare R R Nagar and RISE Foundation, We make it green for the scale of 3500+ Runners. It cannot happen without your support. We need your help in
- No disposables
- No single use plastic
- Stainless Steel Utensils & Cutlery for everyone, including water stations
- Composting of all Organic Waste
Please help make your event Green Event a great success by:
- Not using any disposables
- Not throwing anything away
- Asking for and using only what is needed (you can always ask for a refill)
- Carrying back any and all solid waste with you after the event
- Carrying your own hydration packs
- Not using paper napkins (hint: pack a handkerchief instead!)
- Leaving a Clean and Green trail behind you
Venue & Parking
All decked up, Balakrishna Bayalu Rangamandira, BEML Layout, Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Bangalore – 560098 will be awaiting your arrival bright and early on 23/June/2024.
Traffic:
Rajarajeshwari Nagar is a quaint neighborhood, known for its beautiful tree laden streets. With 3500+ participants commuting to the venue, traffic can get real busy. More so since the main routes you take to reach the venue are the ones cordoned off for you to run!
- If you are from the neighborhood, walk, cycle or bike.
- If you are driving from a distance, car pool.
- Be prepared for traffic related delays, get to the venue early.
- Watch out for traffic signs, and follow volunteer directions.
You’ll beat the traffic, and also do your part towards the Green Event initiative.
Our traffic management volunteers will be glad to assist as you arrive.
Parking :
With the large number of vehicles anticipated, please ensure you allocate some time to park at a distance and walk to the venue.
- Parking is limited. Kindly look for volunteers guiding you to designated parking areas.
- Parking is not allowed on the streets surrounding Rangamandira and on the run routes.
- Follow traffic rules and signs. Do not park in no parking zones. Road side parking on the main roads follow odd/even day scheme.
- While parking, respect private entrances and allow enough space for other vehicles to pass.
- If you are a local resident, find the quiet inner routes to the side streets around Rangamandira to park.
You will have a better chance finding parking in the residential side streets around the venue. Our volunteers will guide you to potential parking spots. Please drive around and find a slot that suits you best.
PS: Medical vehicles, organizers and participants on foot get priority over vehicular traffic.

Presence Guidelines - RunAddicts Events
(for Supporters, Partners, Sponsors, Volunteers and Participants)
Background:
RunAddicts is a 1500+ active member community (4300+ strong on Facebook), run strictly along non-political, non-religious and non-commercial (membership is free) terms. The group has been promoting a healthy lifestyle and fitness in the community. Apart from daily, weekly and monthly fitness related events, the group has made it a tradition to celebrate its Anniversary with an Annual Running Event with “Educate a Rural Child” tagline. Proceeds from the Annual Running Event are used to aid academic and sports education of rural children.
Guidelines:
In light of the above background, all participants – including Supporters, Partners, Sponsors, Volunteers, Runners and all others taking part in the event – (‘Participants’) shall adhere to the following Guidelines in letter and spirit.
General:
1. Participants shall abide by, in good faith, the interest RunAddicts has in its stated objective –
- promote a healthy lifestyle and fitness in the community
- Aid academic & sports endeavors of identified rural children
2.Perceived intent of public posts, shares on social media, distribution material, hand-outs, creatives, promotional and/or any other type of material by the Partners:
- shall not conflict with health, fitness and education of the public at large
- shall ensure compliance with non-political, non-religious, non-discriminatory and non-derogatory ethos
- shall not promote any individual, person, community and/or campaign in any form (such as photographs on flex boards, campaign handouts)
3.Participants shall include appropriate attribution to RunAddicts and the event in all their promotional material
4.While fair and personal use of RunAddicts logo and brand is permitted, promotional use shall be allowed only:
- With prior RunAddicts agreement and approval and
- With use of RunAddicts logo and brand in specified format
5.All the contents, data, photographs, contact details etc. originating from the event shall remain the property of RunAddicts. While fair and incidental use is permitted (such as generic event details and photographs), Participants shall take RunAddicts into confidence prior extensive and/or exclusive use of the said content.
6.Participants respect fellow Citizen’s privacy, and refrain from using any related content without prior consent from individuals affected.
Safety, Citizen Interface:
1.Safety of participants, volunteers and spectators is paramount. Participants shall ensure their acts and deeds do not adversely affect the same or form a deterrent.
2.As a common courtesy to the neighborhood community, Participants shall field comments, complaints and/or questions from them with dignity and honesty, and work towards a peaceful and harmonious conduct of the event.
Participants shall deal with individuals and/or other Participants with grievances in a courteous and professional manner. All grievances, including the ones that are fully resolved, shall be brought to the notice of RunAddicts for record keeping and follow-up immediately.
3.Participants shall remain responsible for their personal property at all times.
Discrimination & Regulations:
1.Participants shall ensure their acts and deeds do not discriminate against any individual, group, gender, physical ability, class, creed, and/or religion.
2.Participants shall follow all the rules, regulations and constraints laid down by authorities.
Environment:
1.Participants shall strive to reduce the environmental impact of their actions.
2.Participants shall follow principles of “Leave no trace behind.” Leave the venue and the surrounding areas as found or cleaner and better. All generated waste shall be cleaned up, and either deposited in the available waste bins or carried out of the venue at one’s own cost.
Dialog & Grievances:
1.Participants shall hold RunAddicts harmless in any conflict, dispute and/or grievance, legal or otherwise, originating out of Participant’s acts and deeds by admission or omission. Participants shall make their best effort at their own expense and achieve a mutually acceptable resolution.
2.RunAddicts respects its relationship with all the Participants, strives to continually improve conduct of its activities and activities, and welcomes constructive comments and dialog. Participants shall reciprocate in kind, address all their concerns and grievances privately with RunAddicts, and refrain from using public forums or going public for resolution.
Venue & Stage Use:
1.RunAddicts might allocate space at the Venue for certain Participants (such as Sponsors). Participants shall:
- Ensure the area is kept clean, tidy and presentable at all times
- Not be used for promotion of individual personalities, religious and/or political interests
- Avoid use of disposable items and handouts that turns into a public nuisance
- Clean up the place after the event
- Unless agreed otherwise:
- Only space is allocated. Participant shall bring all necessary fittings, furniture and electricity source (where needed).
- Participant’s banners and promotional displays shall not exceed 2ft x 6ft size, on each of the available sides.
- Include in their own banner material RunAddicts deems necessary (such as RunAddicts and its Sponsor’s logo / information), and/or allow display of banners and promotional material that RunAddicts might provide in its place.
- Not make use of any audio and/or video material.
- RunAddicts might allocate Stage time for specific events (such as fitness sessions, recognition of support etc.). In such a case, Partners shall:
- Present themselves appropriately and act with courtesy and dignity as demanded by the occasion
- Respect on-stage time and space limits
- Use the on-stage time only for the purposes intended
RunAddicts wish to spend their time and energy on the event itself and not actively policing and enforcing these guidelines! Participants – please respect the spirit of the association by being self-compliant and help RunAddicts keep its focus firmly on the core objectives.
