The concept is simple. Like the previous edition, it’s a “Last Human Standing Race” and in the end, just one runner will finish the race. All other runners are a DNF.

 

Gary Cantrell or Lazarus Lake, the race director of the infamous Barkley Marathons, put on another race Big Dog's Backyard Ultra in his backyard in Bell Buckle, Tennessee, USA. Highly exclusive race with only 75 entrants allowed, Big's Backyard is a World Championship of Last Man Standing races organized across the world. India Backyard Ultra is a "Silver Ticket" event, one among five Silver Ticket events in India. The Silver Ticket winners will constitute Team India that will compete at Bigs Backyard Ultra World Team Championship in October 2022.

 

India Backyard Ultra is the only national championship and will host Team India in October. The Last Indian Standing in October 2022 will win the "Golden Ticket" and represent India at Bigs Backyard Ultra World Championship in October 2023.

 

 

Please note that registrations will be done on a first come first served basis due to limited space on our roster. The preference will be given to the India Backyard Ultra family, who were a part of the previous editions either as a participant, volunteer or crew.

 

You must have completed at least one marathon race (26.2 miles or 42.195 km) under 5 hours since 1st January 2018. Remember, your registration will not be accepted if we fail to validate your result.
