The Guwahati Half Marathon (GHM) is one of the oldest and largest events in North East India organised by students of IIT Guwahati and is the largest student-organised marathon in India. This year, Techniche aims to organise a more mammoth marathon than the last one. The theme for this year’s GHM is "Run for Zero Hunger." This endeavour aims to generate awareness and shed light on the down-and-out. The only motto is to provide a healthy lifestyle for one and all.
There are two race categories: Spirit Run (6km) and Glory Run (21km).
Glory Run
This is a 21 kilometre half marathon, the first of its kind in North-East India and the flagship event of the day. The race is open to everyone above the age of 14.

Spirit Run
This is a 6 km run specifically designed for the citizens of Guwahati. The run is open to participants of all ages.

Both the runs will start and end at Nehru Stadium.
So, as you cross the finish line, please keep moving towards the Nehru Stadium - do not wait/shop near the finish area, as you will come in the way of your fellow runners who will be crossing the finish line.
