'Karjat, Maharashtra organised its first ever Karjat Marathon in 2018 that received a very overwhelming response from the people. The marathon took place in order to make people aware about the importance of sports & fitness and to introduce the concept of marathons in rural areas. Karjat is known for its scenic beauty that has a number of ancient temples and forests, beautiful mountains and The Ulhas River. The place is just perfect for trekking.
